Wabasca, Desmarais, Sandy Lake, and Calling Lake Community Action Team The CAT committee is a group of Wabasca community and area agencies, groups, & people that meet ounce a month to work together to take action for community concerns. This meeting has a regular group size of about 20 but there are almost 50 groups involved. Everyone and every group or agency can come to the meetings. ‘Community Action Team (CAT) is a collaborative and proactive community-wide team that focuses on the well-being of all community members in the areas of human and resource development.’ VISION STATEMENT ‘Community Action Team (CAT) will work towards resource sharing to support and promote: -healthy individuals & families, -healthy, skilled & safety-oriented labor force (covering all occupations), -literacy and continued education, -building partnerships.’
